Retirement Community located in South Carver, Ma. Carver is known by its many
cranberry bogs, which are a great attraction in the fall. With some
next door to the community or minutes away, they are breathe taking to watch at
harvest time. Edaville
RR and King
Richard's Faire, just minutes up the road, are some other great
attractions of Carver. Edaville offers many attractions for family or
individuals. Christmas lighting and train rides, through-out the
holidays prove to be fascinating.
Cranberry Village is an "Adult Community" which means all our
activities are geared for active adults. There are 280 homes in the community with the
lots ranging from 7,200-7,500 sq. ft. , all with a country landscaped
atmosphere. We have a variety of single or double wide homes, some with 3
season rooms, fireplaces, central a/c and many other accessories.
Small pets are allowed but rules regulating their behavior are strictly
enforced.
Included in our recreational facilities here at Cranberry Village is a large two
story recreation center with game, billiard and card room, plus a beautiful
lounge with a large fireplace for just relaxing or socializing. Most of
our residents are quite active and enjoy doing different activities outside or
within the community. Socializing with people in the form of sports,
dancing, card playing, bingo and dinner. Gardening is also another
common activity in the community. We have some real farmers here. We also
will be offering many activities through the recreation center, including bingo,
trips to Foxwoods, shopping tours and trips to live shows in Boston.
Sampson's Pond (over 1 mile long) is located a short stroll from Cranberry
Village. Less than twenty minutes drive takes you to Plymouth, home of
Plymouth
Rock and the
Mayflower. Plymouth with it's many fine restaurants,
known for exquisite seafood's, the Plymouth
waterfront also has countless
launching moorings and docking facilities. For those who prefer saltwater
fishing, deep sea charter boats are available. Five beautiful golf courses
are also within a short drive from Cranberry Village. Or within 1 1/2
miles from Cranberry Village you can enter Myles
Standish State Forest , 23
square miles of beautiful woodland with it's bicycle, moped and nature trails.
What a place to relax!! Located within a 1/2 hour to an hours drive is
Cape Cod, with it's many beaches and attractions. Major shopping is
available within seven miles of the Village. The Town of Carver also offers
many banks, post offices, variety, package and hardware stores within minutes.
There are many Houses of Worship for all faiths also within the the community of
Carver. Most all of the towns surrounding Cranberry Village are fortunate
to have well equipped modern health facilities. Example would be Jordan
Hospital & Plymouth Medical Center in Plymouth,
Tobey Hospital in Wareham and of
course the Town of Carver Emergency Medical Service operates on a 24 hour basis and is
equipped with the latest emergency medical equipment.
The Council on Aging is about 1 mile away from Cranberry Village, they have
senior citizens lunches along with a Public Health Nurse and many other
activities. Blood pressure screenings are offered once a month at our
facility. The Council on Aging, also offers shuttles to local grocery store and can
service you to any medical appointments you may have, directly from your home in
the Village.
